"Yachting trophy" Antique sterling Silver yachting trophy.English sterling silver yachting trophy engraved Eleventh Annual Regatta of the Atlantic Yacht Club June 6 1876 MADCAP. This yachting trophy was made by Starr and Marcus, Theodore B Starr and Herman Marcus in New York which latter became Theodore B. Starr. It is stamped Starr and Marcus New York English Sterling 343 on its base. It measures 7 inches high and 10 inches across. There is still a nice trace of the gold vermeil on its inside. The aesthetic movement design along the rim depicts birds,butterflies,the mid base has a shell pattern and the base has a flower and spade design.

Wonderful original condition. This ships model diorama came to us from an elderly gentleman that has with out a doubt one of the best maritime collections we have seen in years. He collected for some 50 years. This model measures 50 inches long by 27 inches high by 8 and one half inches deep. This ships model dates from the mid 19th century. Period ship models make the perfect gift for any occasion.
